Cassandra Rowan

Cassandra is an electrician by trade and currently the HVAC Service Operations Manager at Honeywell in Queensland. Her focus is on people management and driving positive change for enhanced team performance/dynamic, and customer relationships.

She has spent the past 11 years in the construction industry being an advocate for diversity and equality through leading by example and in 2017 was awarded the National Association of Women In Construction “Crystal Vision Award” for Advancing the Interests of Women in the Construction Industry. She is a mentor in both the Honeywell National mentoring program and previously the 2017/18 NAWIC Mentoring Program. Cassandra was also recognised as the Winner of the 2011 QLD Metropolitan Apprentice of the Year and a state Finalist. She has been a champion for change in closing the gender pay gap in her industry.

Cassandra has most recently been a guest speaker at the launch of the 2018 Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) Queensland Women’s Week  breakfast at Victoria Park Golf Complex and a panellist at the 2018 NAWIC Awards Launch which was hosted by Hutchinson Builders.

Cassandra is available to speak at engagements centred around the construction industry, apprenticeships, gender pay gap, gender adversity/diversity, working mothers, leadership, management and equality.
