Michelle Redfern

Michelle is the founder of Advancing Women and co-founder of social enterprise CDW (Culturally Diverse Women).  Michelle’s activities and work are anchored in her mission which is to achieve gender equality and to advance women in business and the sporting sector.  Michelle is an in-demend speaker, facilitator, moderator and MC at conferences, leadership forums and diversity events.

She is an experienced non-executive director who holds Board roles with Williamstown VFL Football Club and Good Shepherd Microfinance.  She has previously held board positions with the Gippsland League, Swinburne University’s Business Without Borders social enterprise and the Highvale Netball Association Inc.  Michelle is a panel judge for the Telstra Business Awards.

Michelle is a Graduate of the AICD, holds an Executive MBA (Distinction) from RMIT and is an IECL qualified organisational coach.  She is also a lover of cats, writing, footy and travel.  Michelle is a regular contributor on social media about equality, inclusion and leadership and her quest to find the perfect glass of rose! 

Her most recent speaking events include SEDA: Celebrating the History of Women in Sport for IWD2018, and one of her most interesting events to date was for Carlton FC, where she spoke to corporate members on the “road to inclusion”.  She is available to speak on:
